"Those 11:15pm games just kill ..." Michel told Chris after playing a late hockey game in the local YMCA league. After agreeing that it might be too late - like, 15 years too late - for them to make it as pro hockey players, play at decent times and get paid instead of having to pay to play, they went on discussing other dreams and fun careers, and discovered that they had both played the guitar in bands earlier in their lives. "Hey, I think our goalie Jon used to play drums in bands. Why don't we get together and rock and roll?"

There it was. On a Saturday afternoon during the spring of 2000, Jon set up his drum set in Michel's basement, and they proceeded to teach each other the few songs they had written or played before, and could remember. The noise level generated by the trio was loud and coherent enough for Jon to ask: "So, what's the name of this band?

The band consulted friends and family, looking for a name that would best define them, and their music. The first name the band could come up with was "Two Minutes for Tripping". Just a few weeks later, "Five for Fighting" released their debut album nationwide, and the band had to find another name... After countless hours debating, the band adopted the name: "Brick Window".

Brick Window spent the better part of 2001 writing and recording their first album, "Against Our Better Judgement" (which can be purchased on this website).

Early September of 2002 brought a change in the band. Fred decided to return to his homeland, Quebec, Canada to pursue other career goals. His position in the band was filled in by rookie bassist Boups.

Jon has since been replaced with Jeff Altman.

We at Brick Window look forward to seeing you at our next show. Enjoy the music!
